"* The executive council of 1199 SEIU, New York City's largest union, has unanimously voted to endorse Brooklyn district attorney candidate Kenneth Thompson, according to sources close to the union. The health care workers union had supported incumbent District Attorney Charles Hynes in past elections, and its largely African-American and Latino membership could be an asset for Thompson as he looks to solidify his support in those communities. “Ken’s impressive life story, strong record fighting for justice, and deep commitment to standing up for working families are what make him the clear choice in this race,”1199 President George Gresham said in a statement. "Ken is the right leader with the right vision to bring real change to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office. Our members will work hard to ensure that Ken is resoundingly elected this fall." 1199 is one of the city's only major unions to endorse in the Brooklyn DA race, with the United Federation of Teachers having announced their support for Hynes. The union is known for their active ground operation and plan on conducting phone banking and other get out the vote activities for Thompson." From City and State
From Suzannah Troy --- Charles Hynes and Vito Lopez luv each other and are part of truly an evil moment to keep Lopez in power at all costs.... Hynes is so old he could have retired as he should have a long time ago with grace but now he is going down in a sea of law suits and scandals.
He just how his pr team release a sham stating he goes after sex predators when he has enabled Vito Lopez's corruption and sexual abuse of power to run rampant in my opinion along with Dan Donovan.
Read why Charles Hynes press release on sex predators is a shame just one more example among many and when it comes to sex predators Jewish, Christian and Vito Lopez and any one from Albany to City Hall think real estate, money and power....above the law....sickening disgusting....
