St. John's Queens Hospital Protest
Join us for a protest to stop hospital closings :
Place : the former site of St. John's Hospital Queens :90-02 Queens Blvd., Elmhurst, Queens
Subway Directions : Take the R train to Woodhaven Blvd.
St. John's Queens Hospital has been closed for about 4 years now. At the time of its closing, St. John's and its sister hospital had debts and losses in excess of $110 million. Our debt-ridden healthcare system drives hospitals into closure.
Join us on to demand that healthcare, hospital, and medical debt be absolved, so that medical emergencies stop driving hospitals -- and people -- into bankruptcy.

NY1 St. Vincent's Hospital Mention
At last night's LGBT mayoral forum, the NY1 coverage of the forum and the protest outside mentioned that critics of New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn hold her accountable for not doing anything to save St. Vincent's Hospital.
