John Sexton poster boy along with Bill Rudin Rudin Family Greed blood on their hands along with Bloomberg and every City Council member except Charles Barron who voted for a Trauma Level 1 Hospital. A worker died Friday after he fell from scaffolding at an NYU facility in Greenwich Village, authorities said.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was working outside the sixth floor of New York University’s Languages and Literature Building on the corner of University Place and W. 8th St. when he plunged about 11:20 a.m., police said.
The victim, in his 40s, landed on the roof of the neighboring two-story NYU Cantor Film Center.
Emergency workers arrived moments later and rushed the man to Bellevue Hospital, where he died.
Coworkers said the victim lived in New Jersey, had a daughter in college and was hired here less than three weeks ago. His job was to mix cement and lay bricks.
Authorities were still trying to determine how the man fell or if any safety guidelines had been violated.
Workers were making facade repairs to the east side of the building, which is covered in scaffolding, according to posted work permits.

An OSHA worker at the scene said it appeared the victim slipped while walking up a set of stairs on an area of the scaffolding where he was not required to wear a harness.
Earlier this month, three people were hurt after a plywood wall collapsed near Times Square.
