David Durk was a hero and the New York Police Dept screwed him over because he was a whistle blower and way more courageous than Serpico in my opinion also a much better man than Serpico.
Ed Koch used David Durk to help get re-elected and than Koch fell deeper in to corruption.....
Durk wasn't treated right and what NYPD whistle blower ever is but he got the shaft with a pension lower than the current NYPD's starting salary -- a lot lower....
