In a rare decision, the president of the Detroit Economic Club has canceled a speech that was scheduled for next Tuesday by Steven Rattner, former head of President Barack Obama's auto industry task force.

"I made the decision," DEC President Beth Chappell told the Free Press. "When you accept a multimillion-dollar fine from the SEC, it doesn't seem appropriate to have him speak here."

No New York newspaper or television outlet will report this and all the power brokers don't have the integrity to treat Rattner as the pariah he should be and why? Because NYC is mired in corruption and Rattner is Mike Bloomberg's best friend.
Bravo that some where in the USA someone had the guts to stand up to corrupt dealings here in NYC and it directly has to do with NY Pension funds and pay to play as well as Rattner pleading the 5th more time than Mike Bloomberg has been mayor and Rattner allegedly ducking perjury charges...put it this way, Rattner was less than forth coming.
