Cooper Union is an evil real estate magnate that uses the students as tool for zone busting and shady real estate deals. The newest is to tear down the little old science building and supersize and lease for 99 years like they land leased the parking by Carl Fischer. Cooper Union, NYU and NY Law have mega dorms in the East Village and busted through zoning -- the only thing they conserved on is down right violence and transportation to force us out.
Corrupt -- evil -- greedy and throw in Columbia U. abusing eminent domain to move the entire neighborhood of Manhattanville.
They love to abuse the term community facility to bust through our zoning, weigh heavy on our old infrastructure that is busting apart at the seems and exclude and push out the neighborhoods where they ruthlessly expand.
The college kids are not anti-establishment but join soulless ruthless presidents like John Sexton of NYU to be the "greed generation" and have zero respect for our communities.
I have asked for community outreach resource centers in every mega dorm where they abuse the term community facility so students would see and get involved in volunteering, even be given credits if that is what is needed for them to learn to get involved and make a difference.
I confronted mayor Bloomberg on the John Gambling show about this. He responded just a few people feel the way Suzannah feels. Now he knows differently. We sent him a message election day.
