Those rumors about Mayor Bloomberg heading to Washington just won't quit.

CNBC host Larry Kudlow went on the air yesterday to report that "a very well-informed political source" had told him that the mayor would be named to replace Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.

Forget that Bloomberg has stated emphatically that he intends to serve out his full third term.

Hizzoner has shot down that rumor before -- and did so again yesterday, when his spokesman, Jason Post, declared, "The report is false."

And forget that the mayor has ruled out running for president because, as he put it so succinctly this week: "Can't win."

That's what you get when you're suddenly invited to play golf with President Obama -- an endless turn on the national rumor mill.

  Gee, I thought he was pulling a Steve Rattner and was going to The White House kidding himself that would further protect him and strengthen his position of being above the law. Mike's money manager Steve Rattner thought being car czar at The White House would make him above any connection to pension fund scandals here and if anything his company Quadrangle would take the fall. Rattner had a rude awakening and next is Mike Bloomberg. He and Quinn both needs to be fully investigated by The Justice Dept. and FBI for campaign expenditures and all staff that works for City Gov needs to turn in their times sheets because it would be awful if they were working on Quinn's campaign right now as she aggressive fund raises to become mayor like having Mike for a 4th term but if either used and she is using NYC gov staff to work on her campaign staff during work hours and a group of investigators need to look in to their expenditures and claims past and in Quinn's case present. Bloomberg refused to hand over his emails to Haggerty -- his Watergate to The NY post Freedom of Information Act so my question is why hasn't the DA and Haggerty's lawyer served Bloomberg, Sheekey and staff with subpoenas or is king Mike and gang like Cayman Island investments subpoena proof? Bloomberg and Quinn need to resign.
