Hey Eric how about you with the entire City Council starting with Christine Quinn and at night every night until the violence stops. It is amazing how from Albany to City Hall u profit but it is just getting worse for The People of NYC and showing up for an occasional walk against violence is not making a difference.
The NYDN and The NY Post often expose these faux politicians but it is business as usual. The major newspapers are not reporting much on hospitals closing and the largest tac payer abuses ever and guess who allowed it all? We would have more to hire more NYPD it we werent contending with the largest tax payers abuses ever in NYC history.
Politicans are mostly arrogant, smug and confident they are above the law. Voter turn-out is so low no one is being held accountable. Hey Eric: Explain why it took so many years to hold Pedro Espada accountable and look how The People in his community have suffered and will suffer even more due to his greed and stupidity unchecked for how long? How did that happen Eric? In my opinion Vito Lopez belongs behind bars. Miguel Martinez is behind bars. Hiram Monserrate finally going to jail.
The list is long and we are asking them for help? No wonder they don't want term limits.
If only we could watch what these over paid politicians do all day.
Hey take all the Rap stars that profited off of selling a violent culture as sexy - the ones that are still alive. They would have to come out from behind the bullet proof glass. Why do they need bullet proof glass. Why isn't this part of the conversation everytime? Why are they held accountable and how about beginning to make reparations everyday in every way not that it will heal the damage including violence towards women.
Last time I checked Kelly is a decorated Viet Nam Veteran as well as how many years serving the NYPD and the City? Give me commissioner Kelly over Eric Adams on solving problems, serving The People and courage any day. But to solve problems in a city with over more than 8 million people we need a lot more people taking action including over paid politicians who act like Marie Antionette and think they are royalty and the laws don't apply to them. Politician are pathetic. They will use the race card, any card, lawyers paid by the tax payers so attempt to get away with their self serving dealings. Serving the People of NY isn't number one. Serving their egos and their own agendas is. Some do not even live in their own district and lie!!!
