SMITH/HALLORAN TRIED TO BUY LIBERTARIAN MAYOR NOD
City Councilman Dan Halloran, arrested yesterday was plotting with NY Libertarian Party State Chair Mark Axinn to rig the LP nomination for Mayor forDem Sen. Malcolm Smith by pulling a stunt to limit the voting to voters who had paid $25 to the state and excluding rank and file dues paying members of the County LP chapters. With these votes controlled by Axinn ,Smith would get the nomination over Libertarian and Ex-Madam Kristin Davis. Halloran got the LP line in his last election. Axinn was quick to put out a statement defending Halloran .

John Haggerty, falsely convicted of stealing $1 M for Mayor for Life Mike Bloomberg after Bloomberg repeatedly perjured himself at Haggery's trial entered prison last Wednesday while awaiting a request the State's Highest Court to hear an appeal. While the all three Judge on Panel that unheld Haggerty's conviction where hostile to the Government at the hearing they ruled unanimously against the Republican operative, leading may veteran election lawyersand ex-Judges who attended the hearing in support of Haggerty bewildered.
Now Haggerty, who has committed no infraction as a inmate is being held in solitary confinement at a state facility in Ulster. Haggerty is required to shower with manacles and handcuffs on. Why?

"While Dan is a Republican first, he has been a good friend of the Libertarian Party for several years. He has spoken and participated at many LPNY, Manhattan LP and Queens LP events. He joined us in anti-TSA rallies, anti-eminent domain marches, Anarchy NYC events, Ron Paul events, and several more. He even was part of the NYS delegation to the 2010 National LP Convention in St. Louis.
Dan frequently stated that he could not have won his 2009 City Council race without Libertarian Party support. (He was elected in an overwhelmingly Democratic district on the Republican, Conservative, Independence and Libertarian lines. Dan is a good friend of the Party"
