New York Post Chimes CITYTIME today. According to the New York Post and crusading Prete Bharara...
See my Preet Mr Insincerity post from this an
"Bharara faulted a “substantial transparency problem throughout New York government,” which he blamed for the massive CityTime scam, “in which a government contractor, SAIC, bilked the city for about half a billion dollars for a timekeeping software program. Fortunately, as a result of our case against the prime contractor, the city has been made whole,” he said."
What happened to the other arrests? Could swear the street read about how all responsible would be arrested on CityTime. What up?, did Denault act alone for SAIC, did the DPA (deferred prosecution agreement) to make the New York City whole, buy out any further arrests of SAIC ex execs or politico involved? Stop the corruption of brides and no bid... CITYTIME Pretrail is chunking along, so are those CITYTIME civil lawsuits. Is the 9,000,000 pieces enough to criminally convict just a few scapegoats? Can SAIC get its civil lawsuits dismissed...oral arguments are coming...?
For you newbies to the this blog...CITYTIME was the NYC payroll system project contracted out to SAIC to replace AutoTime the existing payroll time tracking system. One of the nations largest defense contractors...SAIC accepted criminal wrong doing in what started as a 63 million dollar contract and ballooned to 700 million. In December 2010 and again in May 2011 indictments were issued and charges of massive fraud scheme revealed. In March of 2012 The Feds gave SAIC a DPA to circumvent debarment from future federal work...they continue to operate to this day. No further arrests other than one scapegoat employee project manager Gerard Denault who has plead innocence and Carl Bell lead engineer who has plead guilty. PreTrial and Civil lawsuits are moving along...stay tuned.
