Except:
A kind of intervention led by the second-ranking commander in Brooklyn, Deputy Chief Michael Marino, was evidence of how outside the norm the NYPD treated this case. Mr. Schoolcraft had badly embarrassed the department by making allegations that commanders in the 81st Precinct were encouraging the downgrading of certain crimes while simultaneously prodding cops to perform stop-and-frisks even if insufficient basis existed. In both cases, the motive seemed to be to massage crime statistics to spare commanders grief during NYPD Compstat meetings."

We can’t say that we’re shocked that Queens District Attorney Richard Brown decided not to submit to a grand jury the case in which whistleblower cop Adrian Schoolcraft spent six days in the psychiatric ward at Jamaica Hospital back in the fall of 2009.
FYI -- I was violently assaulted by Dr Fagelman's receptionist and Sgt Chen and Det Vergona said not so and allowed a false complaint and Vergona yelling, threatening me with false inprisionment but I had to wait 4 days.
FYI CCRB still closed.
