AK-47 shell casings were found at the scene of a teen boy's death early today, police sources said.
Xavier Granville, 17, had been hanging out with friends on Beach 15th Street near Heyson Road after leaving a party when two men in ski masks approached them and began firing into the group about 12:30 a.m., sources said.
Granville was hit in the head and died shortly after, authorities said
Police found both shell casings from an AK-47 and 45-caliber pistol at the scene of the murder, sources added.
Investigators believe Granville may have been part of a gang, but it was not immediately clear what sparked the violence.
No arrests have been made.
