 The Mercer has illegally been running a private parking lot in front of that hotel when it is illegal -- a loading and unloading zone.... I know because I have protested them calling the NYPD on Veteran and Artist Vendors....the police blind eye itis to illegal parked cars which really upset me so I felt I won the lottery when I found a fake NYPD placard in an illegally parked SUV 2 years ago  parked in the loading and unloading zone in front of The Mercer Hotel when we were fighting the than manager of The Mercer Hotel Michael Rawson.

The doormen are valets that get cash tips when they take the keys for arrogant smoes that don't want to pay for the parking a stone throw away.
