Under the Bloomberg administration we endured and continue to endure a tsunami of community crushing development and witness the abuse of eminent domain from Harlem where Columbia University is mass evicting the entire neighborhood of Manhattanville to Brooklyn. Dan Goldstein reminds me of Jimmy Stewart from a Frank Capra film minus the happy ending but I so admire his courage and tenacity and he is right on. So are the brave people of Manhattanville who continue to protest against Columbia University. In the East Village, NYU and Cooper Union don't even need to abuse eminent domain to get the job done.
