Welcome to Mike Bloomberg and his socialite mega millionaire city planner, Amanda the people's Burden new hideous New York. City wide they pushed a reckless tsunami of community crushing development that was way too rapid to be policed or be safe with a death toll of construction workers and civilians to underscore my point. I went to bed in the East Village and woke up in a bad xerox of mid-town turning into a bad xerox of Dubai. The sky piercing mirrored buildings reflect a history destroyed and communities no longer welcome. The empty store fronts and death of small businesses are just another indicator of an economic tsunami to come. Supermarkets are an anachronism. Bloomberg's NY is like the new Yankee Stadium, most New Yorker's did not want to build a new stadium and most can't afford the ticket prices! I voted for him because he wasn't a career politician but we got worse than I could have imagined with a billionaire mayor and a socialite mega millionaire city planner, truly the people's burden. Welcome to the new hideous New York. Have you bought your "I love NY, I just can't afford NY" t-shirt? Thanks, Suzannah B. Troy

How Ironic The Wall Street Journal and The Village Voice are the only two papers to give the mayor a hard time
