Maura Keaney and Christine Quinn come off as criminals in this article and besides over stepping the lines and it sounds as usual Quinn counts on intimidation to keep her critics quiet but as usual we the people of New York City can count on the "conflict of interest board" to not do their job.
The conflict of interest board rarely does their job and usually only if The New York Post does a series of really embarrassing pieces.
Here is a theoretical: Mike Bloomberg gives huge donation to org. -- they turn around and give Quinn a big award for something let us say like being a humanitarian.
One consoling thought---over and over the people of New York are being taken to the cleaners by corrupt politicians and the politicos get away with it over and over -- but their is one advantage -- they grow even more arrogant so at some point even if it takes "almost forever" they do eventually get busted one way or another....
