Maybe it was the 30,000 signatures but Cooper Union the 2nd most evil real estate magnate in the East Village, the 1st being NYU, the evil empire that lead the way mega-dorming the E. Village to death has relented.
The only thing better is if people actually buy books from St. Marks Book store.
Just a reminder, when NYU, Cooper Union, NY Law and SVA are not confusing the East Village with Dorm Fodder or evicting businesses they are pushing way too rapid development on old NY’s infrastructure.

Note that I was cyber gang attacked by Cooper Union students similar to them forcing me out on to the street when I protested Mike Bloomberg when Tom Brokaw interviewed him when Mike Bloomberg still thought he could be President of NYU. The Cooper Union students did not like my exposing their administration’s corrupt and destructive real estate deals and defended them stating they need free tuition.
My next post will show you how one block over and down the street from Cooper Union’s studio and sky piercing hotels that NYU and Cooper Union’s Mega-dorms lead the way for that for years the streets look like craters and we have continued water main breaks, sewage breaks -- the near the 9th Precinct and isn’t fascinating that no major newspaper is interested in reporting the news. I called Bill Sanderson of The NY Post since he covered a water main break uptown but as soon as he heard my name, Suzannah B. Troy he told me he was not interested in talking to me and hung up.
Rupert Murdoch and Lachlan Murdoch are in deep deep trouble for the phone hacking crimes but it seems like the NY Post is not even hiding the fact they are like all the newspapers are dedicated to not reporting the news unless it serves their agenda. Bill Sanderson just highlighted what is coming out more and more how deeply The NY Post editors have no integrity or ethics so see the next link for photos and links including to NY1’s video footage of the medium sized water main break that I believed was caused by Cooper Union’s construction of their zone busting hideous Studio on the Bowery.
It also proves how unqualified and reckless Amanda the People’s Burden a mega-millionaire socialite city planner was and is along with Bloomberg who pushed a reckless Tsunami of Development and we would have needed all of city council, DEP, DOT and Con Ed who I contacted to tell the mayor to slow down and PUT SAFETY FIRST!
We are seeing the most destructive and dangerous greed EVER under the Bloomberg administration very much like the greed and stupidity that destroyed Wall Street and caused the mortgage meltdown.
