I posted on this YouTube channel I made and the other speeches are worth watching on Bloomberg No CityTime. We were fighting the Sept. 30 renewal and I include myself. By creating this channel and posting these speeches I believe I helped and that is a great feeling.

Two of three speakers on this tube -- tell you in their speeches -- CityTime doesn't work properly and waste time and even more tax payers money.
Also I found this on Rudy and Maximus. The author makes the point about bringing in expensive consultants which Rudy did for Maximus
read below... Rudy went outside brought in CityTime and than eventually SAIC which
could have meant global networking... I guess Autotime was like Burger King to Rudy -- CityTime SAIC was like Elaines -- networking hand washing galore...

[excerpted from the February 22nd, 2000 THE NEW YORK TIMES, from an article by Nina Bernstein] "[...] Hevesi rejected ... THREE CONTRACTS awarded, finding that the GIULIANI ADMINISTRATION had improperly used a provision limiting competition. [...] Winning ONE of the contracts to administer welfare programs ... MAXIMUS [Inc., of McLean, VA] unleashed $177,000 to promote itself ... serving free lunches ... it even gave way golf balls stamped with the company's name. [...] To critics, the FREEBIES illustrate the pitfalls of expecting a public company to protect the interests of the poor ---- or the taxpayers ... [leading] to quick rewards for CUTTING OFF THE NEEDIEST CLIENTS and funneling the FITTEST to TEMP JOBS that still leave families in POVERTY. [...] MAXIMUS is under fire ... for setting up its own Agency-to-Profit from "temp-to-hire". [...] Jason A. Turner ... joined the Giuliani Administration ... [and] Tony Kearney, a friend of Mr. Turner's ... [developed job training programs for MAXIMUS's prototype of what Mayor Giuliani requested]. [...] It is not uncommon or illegal for companies seeking government contracts to hire consultants to smooth the way. But it can be expensive. [...] As the City Council prepares to examine the matter, a MIXED PICTURE of Maximus is emerging. The company has a$24 MILLION CONTRACT WITH NYC TO ENROLL
ONE MILLION MEDICAID beneficiaries in MANAGED CARE plans. [...] In 1998, Connecticut threatened to end its contract with MAXIMUS to handle child care benefits for welfare recipients amid complaints about UNANSWERED telephone calls and UNPAID child care workers."
