Teflon Mike Bloomberg paid with personal checks to direct payment in campaign scandal

"The investigation, which has been going on for months, has already raised questions about the unusual way Mr. Bloomberg’s campaign directed the payment, using personal checks from the mayor rather than the campaign’s official account. And while people close to the case say neither the mayor nor the campaign is a target of the investigation, an indictment could be embarrassing for Mr. Bloomberg, who is said to have trusted Mr. Haggerty as a key liaison to the city’s Republicans."

from David Chen's article in The New York Times

but we know Mike Bloomberg is above the law....as so many politicos, rich and celebrities are....

I am just curious where did all the 110 million dollars Mike Bloomberg spent go because there was sub-zero trickle down....just look at what a mess the city is in....too bad he didn't hand it out to the people that actually need the money but the goal is to move them out for his rich developer friends.

Could you imagine if there was a cap and we said you could spend 200,000 dollars.  If Mike couldn't account for a capped amount of money he would be in big trouble but Mike the billionaire is above accountability when it comes to 110 million...really he doesn't owe us any accountability from his money spent -- including to an organization that did not exist until a month after the election to his Cayman Island investments to his early morning trips to Bermuda to his free rides on is private jets to city officials.....

Hey, I am still waiting for a call or email from his public relations woman on how much the ad instructing us to "Think Bloomberg" cost.  Maybe she hasn't called me back because the MTA gave the steps for free to Mike Bloomberg?

In my opinion Larry Seabrook and Kendall Stewart were as guilty as their staff, one a senior aid for the money that went missing and I don't know how they were able to walk away.

Rumor is Seabrook is going down big this time.

But all the corrupt city council members whether they get successfully prosecuted or not that have and are being investigated all happen to vote to extend term limits.

Mike Bloomberg denied us a referendum and put the vote in front of corrupt city council members that of course wanted a third term.  Miguel Martinez was the only one honest enough to plead guilty and admit he was stealing from the get go.

Of course we can't hold Teflon Mike accountable for personal checks written for his campaign or anything else including the reckless tsunami of community crushing development, massive displacement of New Yorkers and small businesses, infrastructure breaks and the worst state of infrastructure including the streets and below ground  the constant man-hole explosions, sewage breaks, water main breaks, the disturbing State of the MTA subway stations from leaking, rotting to over crowding

because the only thing that is important is Mike being king of New York and winning that 3rd term any which way he could and helping the mega rich with their real estate and financial deals -- and oh yeah -- it means trickle down for the people of NY.

There are so many cuts and closings we just haven't seen it but Mike and developers can celebrate their big financial and real estate wins in Bermuda, the Hamptons, where ever...just don't ask them to be transparent or accountable.
