Village Chelsea Residents Norman Siegel Tom Allon and Miguel Acevedo Press Conference 12th Street 7th Ave noon tomorrow


OUTRAGED VILLAGE/CHELSEA COMMUNITY HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE   --   SHAM NYC CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING

PLACE:   12TH Street and Seventh Avenue (South/West Corner)
Speakers to include Norman Siegel, Esq., noted civil rights attorney; Tom Allon, Democrat and Liberal candidate for Mayor; and, Miguel Acevedo, President, Tenants Association, Fulton Houses.
Hundreds of community members, seniors, people with disabilities, and caretakers of the sick, were forced to wait in freezing temps for three plus hours, and ultimately, shut out of the ONLY City Council Public Hearing on the Rudin/St. Vincent’s ULURP application on Tuesday, March 6.  The hearing room held 40 people while hundreds waited outside. The message from security was clear, the hearing room and the small overflow room were full. The vast majority of those in line would not be allowed inside to testify.
