I had one photographer glued to me and an activist documenting and buffering with the police....I told them I should not be singled out -- it was very rocky and shaky but ended up okay -- I asked two very senior NYPD officers why I had to be escorted (I was given 2 officers and one tried to make me stop filming him but the other told him I had the right to film -- thank goodness the more senior of the 2 community affairs officers actually did know the law ) so far away and they gave me permission to come back across from City Hall and stand across the street...
